From Lowville: From Rte. 12 turn onto River St.; take River St to 4 way stop sign. At Stop sign go straight onto the Number Four Rd (also called County Rte. 26 NOT State 26!) Take the Number Four Rd for approximately 28 miles; (the Number Four Rd turns left at the Watson Tavern – do not miss turn – look for signs to Stillwater) Continue on the Number Four Rd then turn right onto the Stillwater Rd; Stay on the Stillwater Rd for approximately 9.5 miles. The Stillwater Rd will be start as pavement and then turn into gravel/dirt. It will turn back to pavement just before you reach the Stillwater Reservoir. The Stillwater Shop is on the right before you enter the parking lot near the boat launch.
From Old Forge:Take Rte. 28 N to Eagle Bay; Turn Left onto the Big Moose Rd. Stay on the Big Moose Rd for 18 miles (first 8 miles are paved – last 10 are dirt/gravel). When you come to the stop sign at the “T” intersection turn Right onto the Stillwater Rd. Proceed straight down the hill. The Stillwater Shop is on the right before you enter the parking lot near the boat launch.
